~THE PLACE~

There is a dark place

Deep inside,

I know I must go there,

I know I can’t hide.

 

From the anguish

And from the pain

From the demons

That drive me insane.

 

I’m afraid what I’ll find

Maybe it’s an illness,

Or maybe it’s sin.

I am powerless and weak

But I’ve made this vow

 

To go to the place

Where I fear what will be found

To find this thing

That’s weighing me down
